And that's why I'm here: to help you build a website for your business that reinforces the work you're already doing without adding more things to your to-do list.
We won't talk about how long ago that was, but a common thread throughout my life since those early days at a computer screen has been the desire to marry the analytical and the creative, data and aesthetic, form and function to create something beautiful that works well.
On the journey, I've also made a few detours along the road working in real estate, insurance customer service, hospitality, public education, business administration, romance writing, horse racing, digital design, and even the mining industry as a site clerk in an Australian outback town with more crocodiles than people (there's not enough space here for all those stories), dabbling with a few different forms of entrepreneurship along the way.
But it wasn't until I had my daughter and left the classroom as a high school English teacher that I realized how truly important it was for every woman to have a business to call her own. One that doesn't penalize you for nights of sleep regression, a week-long child illness, or not wanting to miss the every day magical moments.
It was in building a website for my own online business as virtual assistant with an infant at home that I fell back in love with the world of web design and discovered how powerful a beautiful, well-designed site could be in helping run an efficient, productive, and successful business.
Because even though the specific platforms and entire internet has changed since the mid-90s, I've found that people still largely want the same thing when they're looking for a service or product: connection, value, and results.
And that's what the websites I design deliver.
I've been to 22 states, 8 national parks, and 14 countries with no plans of stopping!
Chocolate chip cookies are my specialty, but I'll give anything on the Great British Bake Off a try.
I'll give pretty much any genre a try, but romance and historical fiction are what I always come back to.
I'm a Texas Master Gardener who loves growing our own veggies, flowers, and native plants for our pollinators.
My daughter is my whole world. I love spending time with her, my husband, and the rest of my family.
You're hoping your website will fix everything without some effort on your end.
You want a website that "looks nice" without worrying about the strategy behind it.
You're looking for the cheapest option you can find (no judgement, it's just not this).
You're still figuring out exactly what your business is and need more time.
You love tweaking things endlessly and don't want outside input.
You're building a business that supports your life, not runs it.
You care about how your business "feels" to your clients, not just how it looks.
You're ready to fully invest in your business by building your online presence.
You have a clear offer or service you've built your business around.
You value your time and don't want to spend hours DIY-ing your website anymore.
Every client has different needs and regardless of which path you choose, I want to make sure you have a website that actually does its job.
