Hi, I'm Mindi!

Mother, entrepreneur, and Showit website designer for women building businesses in the middle of real life.

This business was built in the margins.

Not in a perfectly decorated office on a series of uninterrupted workdays.

It was built in stolen hours: nap time, those quiet, unhinged hours after bedtime when I should just go to sleep—but knowing I have to take advantage of any minutes I have since my time will not be my own the next day.

There were definitely days I opened my laptop feeling so motivated to build only to be interrupted by a sick baby, other work, or someone wanting to eat dinner (the audacity) and my "little project" got put on the back burner.

And yet—this mattered enough to keep going through the interruptions.

Because I don't just want a business. I want flexibility. Ownership. Work I'm passionate about that doesn't require me to miss the moments I care about the most.

Every woman needs support building something that is entirely her own.

And that's why I'm here: to help you build a website for your business that reinforces the work you're already doing without adding more things to your to-do list.

My Story

I've come a long way from creating websites in Netscape Navigator for elementary school competitions.

We won't talk about how long ago that was, but a common thread throughout my life since those early days at a computer screen has been the desire to marry the analytical and the creative, data and aesthetic, form and function to create something beautiful that works well.

On the journey, I've also made a few detours along the road working in real estate, insurance customer service, hospitality, public education, business administration, romance writing, horse racing, digital design, and even the mining industry as a site clerk in an Australian outback town with more crocodiles than people (there's not enough space here for all those stories), dabbling with a few different forms of entrepreneurship along the way.

But it wasn't until I had my daughter and left the classroom as a high school English teacher that I realized how truly important it was for every woman to have a business to call her own. One that doesn't penalize you for nights of sleep regression, a week-long child illness, or not wanting to miss the every day magical moments.

It was in building a website for my own online business as virtual assistant with an infant at home that I fell back in love with the world of web design and discovered how powerful a beautiful, well-designed site could be in helping run an efficient, productive, and successful business.

Because even though the specific platforms and entire internet has changed since the mid-90s, I've found that people still largely want the same thing when they're looking for a service or product: connection, value, and results.

And that's what the websites I design deliver.

I've been to 22 states, 8 national parks, and 14 countries with no plans of stopping!

Traveling

Chocolate chip cookies are my specialty, but I'll give anything on the Great British Bake Off a try.

Baking

I'll give pretty much any genre a try, but romance and historical fiction are what I always come back to.

My Passions

You're hoping your website will fix everything without some effort on your end.

You want a website that "looks nice" without worrying about the strategy behind it.

You're looking for the cheapest option you can find (no judgement, it's just not this).

You're still figuring out exactly what your business is and need more time.

You love tweaking things endlessly and don't want outside input.

We might NOT be a good fit if:

You're building a business that supports your life, not runs it.

You care about how your business "feels" to your clients, not just how it looks.

You're ready to fully invest in your business by building your online presence.

You have a clear offer or service you've built your business around.

You value your time and don't want to spend hours DIY-ing your website anymore.

We might be a good fit if:

You don't need another quick fix or temporary solution. You need a foundation in place that will grow with you instead of being something else you need to update when you have time. We'll build something to serve you now and later.

Build with the future in mind.

We dig into your clients' needs to develop a customer journey that takes them from window shopper to immediate buyer. I'll use our discussed strategy to create your visual identity and structure your website for maximum conversion.

Make strategic, impactful decisions.

It doesn't matter if this is your first website for a side hustle you're trying to grow or an upgrade for your expanding business, I want to ensure that you have what you need in place to be less stressed and more productive.

Meet you where you are.

Every client has different needs and regardless of which path you choose, I want to make sure you have a website that actually does its job.

My Approach

Let's make it happen

You're done doing "good enough." You need a site that reflects all the effort you've put in. Let's help your business feel lighter with a website that works.

Let's build something you're proud of to give you more time with the people that matter.
